Technical Data
- Camshaft manufacturered in Europe by camshaft supplier of original equipment to Ford, BMW and VW.
- Cam bolts straight in, no shims or other modifications needed.
- Engine idles perfectly (no lumpy idle).
- Bottom end torque & power the same as standard.
What Steve Wyndham Racing has achieved is to develop a camshaft which gives good gains in power at the top end of the rev range, without sacrificing bottom end power and drivability. The rear silencer can be replaced with a free flow unit, but the diameter of the exhaust system should not be changed as this will result in a loss of power!

Power Figures
We have consistently seen between 9-10kw on the 1.6 Rocam Engines and +- 6kw on the 1.3 Rocam Engines.
Please note results may vary. Included with your cam are 2 SWR badges for your vehicle!
Induction Unit

This is a full intake kit consisting of a cone shapped filter, polished aluminium pipes and brackets for installation.
Adds up to 3 kw power gain as well as extra torque by providing beter air flow.
Also adds a deeper racy sound to the motor.

Performance Exhaust Manifold
This is a specially designed 4-2-1 exhaust manifold for the rocam engine. Provides extra torque across the rev range for both the 1.3 and 1.6 motors by delivering maximum performance from the combustion process. The performance camshaft and this branch compliment each other perfectly by providing the extra power and torque respectively.
Performance Kits (South Africa Only)
Offering various combinations of Economy, Power Gains and Extra Torque, the market has already shown an eager response to the kits which are currently available. Indicating the horsepower attained after the full conversion, The kits are marketed as the ST 90 and ST 120 conversions for the 1.3 and 1.6 Rocam engines, and then as the ST 100, ST 130 and ST 180 for the 1.4 and 1.6 and 2.0 Mark(mach) 6 Fiestas respectively.
The basic components of the conversion kits are a performance camshaft, racing exhaust manifold, recalibrated computer, and an induction unit. Although gains will be obtained by fitting individual components, the full kit is an integrated system designed to deliver stunning all round performance and economy.
The popular 1.3 Ford KIA comes in at a standard 51 KW. With an ST 90 Kit this power is boosted to an amazing 66 KW(90 horse power), while the torque increases from 110 Nm to 122 Nm. The standard power output on a 1.6 Bantam bakkie is 70 KW. The ST 120 kit takes this up to 88 KW (120 horse power) and the torque increases from 137 Nm to 150 Nm.
With these impressive improvements, there is no question that the era of the SWR performance kits has arrived.
